Jacquelyn H. Miller Endowment Fund

The Jacquelyn H. Miller Endowment is a fund established in memory of Jacki Miller, past president of the Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children (MiAEYC) and founder of The Discovery Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Throughout her professional life, Jacki was an advocate for children and for the people who care for them. Her commitment to excellence, in her own child care center as well as her leadership of MiAEYC, was and continues to be an inspiration to many.

Through the endowment, MiAEYC provides recognition and encouragement for excellence and innovation in early childhood education.

Student Leadership Scholarship Award 2014

Michigan AEYC recognizes that emerging professionals need opportunities to work and learn along side leaders in our field. The MiAEYC Student Leadership Scholarship Award provides opportunities for education and leadership to an undergraduate student who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in either elementary certification with the early childhood endorsement or child development. The purpose of providing a scholarship for this student is to develop a base for future leadership both in the profession and in the organization.

This award will be given to one student each year who, through his/her academic record and professional involvement, indicate strong leadership skills in the field of early childhood education or child development.

General Operations

A donation to General Operations helps fund the day-to-day services that MiAEYC provides to its members and the broader early childhood community. The MiAEYC Governing Board determines the specific use of these donations.
