Advocacy Committee

The purpose of the Michigan AEYC Advocacy Committee is to lead efforts in voicing the importance of investing in high quality early childhood experiences and professional practitioners.

Advocacy Overview

The mission of the Michigan AEYC Advocacy Committee is to lead efforts in voicing the importance of investing in high quality experiences for young children and elevating the early childhood profession. In partnership with the Michigan AEYC Office and other external stakeholders, the committee monitors legislation to develop advocacy resources for members to use. These resources can be used individually, or during national, state, and local events facilitated by Michigan AEYC.

The Michigan AEYC Advocacy Committee is diverse and inclusive. Members of the committee work or reside in several Michigan counties, including suburban, urban, and rural areas. The committee includes teachers, child care providers, professors, lawyers, social workers, and early childhood consultants.

The committee welcomes those interested in joining our early childhood advocacy efforts. Please contact the Michigan AEYC Advocacy Committee Chair for more information.
